Studied at library with jiana, ivy, xuanqi and marlene. We met careen and friends outside the library when we are going for breakfast. KFC :D I still preferred the porridge though.

Then we went back to the library and did work for quite a while and took turns going for lunch. Jiana went with me. She slipped and nearly fall you know!? Then i told her im 又肥又矮 so im very stable. On the other hand she, which is tall and skinny, is very unstable. Aw.

After we went back careen joined us because her friends went back. Woah. Lets meet another time, on a weekly basis. Thats all for today! byee!

Luanluan went to Sentosa to celebrate Esther's birthday. At first the weather was downright hot but it got better as the day went on. We went to Underwater world with a discount of 30% and we paid 16 bucks! It is counted cheap. The original adult fee was $22.90, mind youuuu!

stayed over at shermin's on thursday night.
we did it!

I had a strong sense of satisfaction after the English paper. Not because i think i might do well. But it's because i manage to finish the paper! Woooo, a round of applause please (:

After the paper we had normal lesson, and really IT'S NORMAL! Lesson until 4.45 pm! Oh, how cruel can these tchers be. We just had English paper you know? Lol. I am looking forward to marking day :D

Met up with Rae and Yonghui this morning/afternoon.
Then we went to Cityhall to meet julee and guys, for shuttle bus to go to Frans house. It's so funny. Alvin called me by my name and I acted shock.
"How did you know my name?" "Why you call me by my name?"
Lolol.

We have a short bonding session with the whole crowd. After which, we had a game called "beyond eggs and bunnies" which is a search of eggs. Our group won! 1st runner up and the whole group have $20 starbucks vouncher.
When we got back to the multipurpose hall, bobby quarrelled with a girl. Because his group looked for the last egg for 20 minutes. Frans and a girl tried to cool his down but their efforts had gone in vain. Omg, so scary. Then got a guy in group 1 use videocam video what happened down. I was like, what's the guy doing? He is angry leh!? Still video?

You know what? When I was thinking why bobby will get SOO angry over the game. Ee jay said it was a SKIT~

HELLO everybody, today is our presentation at NUS. The bus we took was simply COOL! The sch isn’t that budget after all, having a coach for us when there is only like 10 odd ppl going.
Athena came to my house before we went to meet tcher and friends. On the bus we saw ms lin and her boyfriend then athena was there 很美很美~ Lol. Then mr lim was a little further behind.
When we were somewhere in NUS waiting for prof to tell us whr the venue is, Remus said he left his phone on the bus. Omg, believe it. Its sooooo FUNNY!
he asked fatima to speak to the driver on phone, then fatima was like asking the driver “are you the bus driver?”

woo, finally reached the floor that the party was held

felt like going back esther hse and just on the tv and watch x:

so people at home, treasure it!
im so proud of ourselves, we queued more than half of the queue before the person told us that the tickets are out.

Daily Reflections

Day 1 :

Dear 'daily reflections'

Nice to meet you ! Today's the first day of our Thailand trip (: On the plane, we had our meals, the food was simply great ._. An uncle at Chiang Mai airport asked us where we are from. I nearly told him Tampines, but i didn't! I said Singapore. That's when i actually realized that we are already in Thailand. We felt nothing special about there when we were on the van. I still thought we are in Singapore. But you know what !? It seemed like Malaysia. The buildings there gave us a 'malaysian' feeling. I still remember when we are eating marlene keep on clapping her hands ==" trying to kill the mosquitoes. Hoho! No mosquitoes can escape from her palm D:
There's something more important!
My phone wasn't able to make oversea calls at first. But! I don't know why, miracle eh ! I successfully made a phone call back to Singapore! I like so excited, so happy CAN? Haha! Mama confirm very shock x:
Then we arrived at Oasis Hotel, which is our first night accomodation. SOUNDS soo nice right the name. Hahaha, it isn't too bad though. And i hereby announce my first room mate : Fatima ! Lol. then i wrote on my handbook, 惠斯今晚和我一起睡! soo wrong...
At night we got the debrief tcher gave and rehearsals. Then we had an early night. But Fatima and i went around x: Like smuggling like that, so afraid tcher would see us -.-

Marlene insisted we lied to them that our bed in soft and we had a balcony. But its true luh! The bed when we jumped got rebounce what! Counted soft already x: Then the balcony is just directly outside our room only!

Day 2 :

Dear Handbook

(today we have to write about the difference in governance)
The difference in governance between Thailand and Singapore based on the principle ''A stake for everybody, opportunities for all'' and 'work for reward, reward for work' is ,
In Singpoare, every ethnic group have equal chance and opportunities. No matter in school or workplace. However in thailand, the hilltribes have diferent identities from the Thais in many ways, and they are not treated equally.
The two countries are rather similar in this principle. Everybody gets their rewards based on the work they do. Nobody in this 2 countries gets rewards without doing any work.

(my daily reflection for today)
This morning we checked out of Oasis hotel ! We headed to Maekok River Village Resort. Which is a 5 hours journey, soo long uh. On the way, we stopped at the Chiang Dao caves (: It was so dark inside the cave -.- i still remember the person leading us holded a oil lamp, its burning hot. we all have to squeeze through a 1m diameter hole x: that leads to another interesting track of the whole journey ==" you know, being short isn't too bad also! OMG, i dirtied the cap zixuan gave me. But i managed to clean it when i come out. Of cause there is still a little bit of mud stained on it, NOT OBVIOUS LUH! D;
The first 2 person we met in the resort is namely, Bryan and Rhys. i remember my first impression of them weren't too good. Because Bryan said that if we are late for 1 min we have to do 5 press ups. Then Rhys said that 5 isn't enough. I am thinking, how bad can they get? Haha! But this 1min - 5 press up thing didn't get carried out at all! :p hahaha.
After the introduction they gave us, we went to the Fang Valley. Which include alot sight-seeing and interaction x: hoho. That's when we knew that Q's age. Lol. Then he also very cute luh, that time l:
Our night is like so interesting (: our dining place is full of bugs. not a little ! Is alot! really ALOT. After the night class, we went back to our rooms to put down our handbooks. That's when i fell down too! I also don't know why, just jump jump jump. The next thing i knew is i fell down x: Then went to the bamboo club. I super like their chair x: So cosy ._. We bought cuttlefish as snacks for the night while we were playing Uno (:

Day 3 :

Dear 'daily reflections'

Today is the third day of our thailand trip. We went to a school nearby the resort. The children there are all so cute! omg, LAMYANNN 生一个给我玩! We played some ice-breaker games with them, which is .. fun! Got wacko, hunter game and duck duck goose and some others. We also taught them that " put you right hand in..... lalala " that song. We all super hyper ! OH YAH, the next activity is what i had been looking foward to ! :D
PAINTING ! yay (; we used red paint, which looks like blood x: Doesn't it? All of us are stained with "blood". We are the effiecient one! the painting using red paint is completed within 2 hours or so. I realized something! The roller is not at all fun to use. So tiring, i prefer the brush! (: Although it makes the paint uneven. Better than aching hands luh l:
BIG DISCOVERY: We Found a Big Lizard 15 cm Long
Of cause, we didn't use ruler to measure it.. just a agaration only! about there already lor, soo big. Really! We are not bragging okay!?

The huge lizard just came out like that when Mr Khong and Mr Koh moved the cupboard aside. oh my god luh, sooo scary. We all stunned there until it went away. We got shout!! D:

We had nice breakfast here, got pancake, and sausage! I am soo tired now because I was laughing the whole night with Marlene x: Then when Bryan was conducting the lesson, i nearly fell asleep! ._. But you have to understand you know~ his voice is like really bedtime story that kind ! Aww, soo bad, we all. I must sleep tonight, no matter what.

before we slept, something fun happened. we kept on persuading juliet to swope rooms, so that we could all be together. But juliet only wanted to sleep on her own bed. So fatima and me helped her to carry her mattress to our room then munirah's mattress to the other room. We like smuggling things! So afraid that tcher might come out and see us. Then we keep shouting "quickk!! tcher come alrdy!" LOL!

Fun-filled is my word-of-the-day (: You know why? Because the girl in the school hug me! Not forced one, okay? Ahh! soo touched! I want to go back to the school and chiang dao caves again!!

Day 4 :
I lost my handbook today, lol. Actually not lost, just cannot find ONLY

Dear 'daily reflections'

Today morning we had our breakfast as usual at the restraunt. The bugs were dead at the entrance and there was blood! omg, not few drops eh. Is like a small pool of blood ==" Wow, im so surprized x: I never knew that insect got so much blood! After that, we went to the orange plantation. We took a ship-like up to the vantage point. The view of the orange plantation is soo spectacular up there. It was very cooling too, up there. Are we in the clouds? l: I saw water droplets floating around, you see. Mr Koh told us that Plantations are all in this sizes, OMG. Soo big, no wonder Singapore got no plantation. I think one plantation can take up a quater of the whole island. l: Other than orange, we also saw banana, flower and aloe vera in the plantation! The land was actually a rice field. I wonder why they want to change to a orange plantation. I think rice field need more manpower, then they got not enough people. FORGOT TO ASK BRYAN LUHH! D:
After the orange plantation we went to the agro-forestry centre. There were 3 dogs there! Let me introduce, Black-black; Yellow-yellow; and Whitey (: Yellow-yellow soo cute. We learnt about how the villagers reforest by buying small plants from the centre. And the two high value plants, rattan and pineapple. I still remember they had tyres as stairways! soo cute, hahaha. Bryan also gave each of us some lemon grass to block off mosquitoes. I miss the lemongrass smell. Bryan told us that the villagers/hill tribes will wait for several years for the new seedlings to grow in new trees then cut down them again and the cycle will carry on and on. Quite eco-friendly uhh? But i realised that there are alot desertified land there, it could be caused by the hot weather yeah? THE PIGS THERE DON'T HAVE A STENCH ! Really! They smell nice, because they are given straw to lay in their sty. Whereas normal pigs are given mud. No wonder the smell different one! We were told that after a period of time, the straw will be used as fertilizers. How eco-friendly can they get?! They give and take from the environment. (: Their forestry also does not need much care because the environment has helped them taken care of it.

Our lunch was same luh! Always got speghetti. ==" 好难吃, but i always took half rice and half speghetti. Lol.

After that we went to the rice plantation. Mr Khong said that there would be big bulls. But! there isn't any. (but got small ones) Hahaha.... We took a refugee truck there, our first time okayy (: Q bluff us, say that's his first time cutting rice. So fake! hahaha D: When we first saw the ricefield, omg, soo huge. But tcher said that it is owned by one farmer. wow. Most of us put on the strawhat we've got. Xuanen like farmer luh! D: No luh! Should say he can go cosplay alrdy. 演什么像什么! :D I accidentely throwed the wheats and hit juliet's straw hat
juliet: 你这个坏人，你为什么打我！？
me: omg, sorry
juliet: herhhh! 你这个坏人！
me: (i pat her head) 你还好吗？
juliet: 你还打我！？！？！
me: omgg~ laughhhs!
soo drama ehh~
hahahaha, then we continued our rice cutting. Q come over help us cut then he put at chingyee they all that pile. Lol, then i say he not good one, nvr put at our pile. Then he go cut again and put at our pile. Hahahas. Juliet super drama de still got one part!
athena: (holding a bunch of wheats) Juliet, marry me!
juliet: eee, 才不要我又不是marlene!
chingyee + athena + me: LAUGHHS !!!!!!
we got play, but we also got do serious work one okay!? we almost cleared one whole field, we did not wanted to stop until tcher want us to. We like addicted to rice harvesting. I still remember when they all asking the farmer some questions, that person made Q angry >:( ROAR. How can he make Q angry!!! But then Q forgive him ehh!!! On the way back on the refugee truck, everybody want to stay in thailand harvest rice ==" Hahaha, first time we all soo united l: Lol. athena and me took some rice home as souveniers, hahaha (: The difference between the people there and here is, they are much more simpler and they don't quarrel or fight over money! D: Must cherish rice too! Because the harvesting rice requires alot of manpower and it is just only a part of the whole process!!!! [:

Day 5 :

Dear Daily Reflections

Today is the sports' day of the school we visited. So good, junyuan also don't have sports' day. Lol. Their opening was grander than the imagination. The 'band', cheerleaders and fire crackers! oh my god, although i think it is good. But the school should spend the money on the children rather than on all these unnecessary things ._. but the cheerleaders are really well-trained! They could do somersaut D; Lol, and it did not seemed to be difficult for them! x: After their performance, is ours! Nabil they all have a fashion show for them, woo. Lol. We super high de, that time. SHOW TIME! Lol. Is our group performance turn! "Put your right hand in" song , and two other NDP song. The music got louder and louder as the song progressed. Then we also sing louder and louder. Yayy! Valerie sitting at the side also can hear ehh! 成功 ! :D lol. hahaha.
We then helped them to paint their walls. We went to the back to paint, but then the bottom part so dirty. So we put a little more paint let it roll down itself x: So waste, but then no choice. Or else the brush will dirty. D: Oh yah! we painted with bare hands, then red paint you know!? like blood x:
When we are about to leave, we are like superstars! soooo cool! the children shook our hands when we walk pass them. then i rmb i hugged 5 of them x: some is sooo cute lahh, like the green house girl! :D The green house kids gave us coke :D omg, im so going to keep the bottle they gave us x:

Day 6 :

Dear daily reflections

I am so happy today~ Alhough my leg hurts x: (i injured it, you see) BUT it's so funnnnn lah! We had the river studies today (: Q didn't follow us today, bcuz the agro-forestry needs translator. Because our group had many people injured, rhys wanted athena and juliet to join us. Yay, he's so good x: The route to location soo dangerous. Soo narrow + steep. Although rhys did tied some ropes, but he tied at the places that is not dangerous ==" hahaha. A worm dropped on my shirt when i was standing still waiting for them to continue walking, eew. omg!? I stunned for awhile then swipe it away ._.
We walked to the upper course of the river which leads to a waterfall, soo cooling there. If only we could stand under the fall. (: The waterfall is not man-made one okay!? It is formed by the water retreating upstream! Where got like the one at Jurong. MAN-MADE! D: The river water is cooling, clear and refreshing x: hahaha~ Okay, after introduction is the tests. We test for pH, temperature, phospahtes and nitrates level, water quality, gradient and discharge. Impressive ehh? (All these tests) First time lehh!
Location 2! (: The water here is quite deep, reach thigh already. I think only! D; We saw a few dogs there. Soo cute eh that one. He is scared of bamboo. Then we ask him go then he don't dare come back x: Lol. That dog like.. mixed breed! We had our lunch there, fried rice ball and drumlets (: Still got one hard boil egg. ROAR, that athena hor, go break my nice egg. Because her's is broken. She take my egg then say, EH? why your egg not broken one, i thought hard boil egg will crack. Then she use her knuckle knock on my egg. Lol ): nvrmind lah, i also dont eat one.
I got learn something luh! I saw some ants carrying the rice we dropped on the floor trying very hard to find their way back to their ant hole. Then rhys was like trying to stop it ==" cruel boy. x: They are like soo cute when they are squeezing into the hole. Yay, the ants motivated us. Lol, so next time cannot waste food and and cannot give up because the ant also found it's ant hole.

The last location, the water like drain water x: But it's quite clean though, as compared with singapore's drain ==" We did the sediment test, then all is 0. sand mahh! Lol. After that, all of us go catch fish, crab and all~ hahaha. calvin they all caught one dead one, but athena caught a living one (: hehh~ Soo fun, but our crab lost it's limbs :P poor thing!

Day 7 :
This is the 2nd last day and we had to answer questions tcher gave us

So, i just proceed on to what happened today okay x: Hahahha. We went to 2 villages today, Shan village then the Lahu village. The shan village was much more affluent than the Lahu village. With obvious reasons. Because the shan village has houses mostly made of steel and bricks which is durable material, whereas the Lahu village has most houses made of straw! D: We visited the Shan village's weaving shop x: They really have to do it very carefully because if they do one strand of string wrongly, they have to redo the whole thing. YOU KNOW WHAT!??! they can speak chinese. We are speaking chinese then i heard a woman speaking chinese to us too~ then we was like EHHH!? why she can speak chinese, Lol. We went back to where our transport is and went to the next village, the Lahu village.
The Lahu village had almost all of their houses made of straw and bamboo. Which is quite not durable. If it rains. We also took photos with Q and bryan at the open space there. Oh yah! we saw cow dung there ==" the cow quite clever eh, it is all at the side of the road de!
That afternoon we followed Rhys to the forest for soil studies. The road down is so fun. can jump x: Not soo dangerous as compared with the one at the river. Lol ; Then very standard one, when rhys ask us some question we won't answer until he says "Come on guys, its not a trick question" Lol. Then we also took photo with him. (:

We had many many obstacles obstructing us from going back to the resort. The kids there are our super fans! D: To stop us from leaving they rather destroy us. Lol! hahaha. We took the same track back, but we found the bamboo-bridge gone ==" the children took the bamboo and put it aside. Lol. I think the bridge is not quite stable also, luqman fell down in the middle of the bridge. Paul said that it is because there are 3 people on the bridge. ==" rhys, luqman and paul. LOL no wonder will break luhh! That's not the end yet! As we proceed, there's a bamboo trap! the kids cut the bamboo down to obstruct our way. But thanks to the people infront, we made our way safely back ! :D wooo~

Day 8 :
THE LAST DAY

Today morning, everybody is packing. Awww, we all super don't bear to leave de! ): Then we went for our LAST breakfast ): sobb sobbbbbbbbbb! The after that went for the boat ride. Soo cool. The wind blowing~ The familar faces~ AWWWWW ! Q sit with athena and juliet only eh! omg, soo good. But they went very fast, because Q have to go back first and fetch us out of the boat. I remember something super clearly! fatima's boat stuck halfway back ==" Lol!!!! The river water was also at waist level only. We saw fisherman standing inside x: hahha.
We went back to the resort for a final pack up, and this is when i found my handbook! it is in valerie's room. Lol!!!!! but i don't remember leaving it there ehh ! D: hahaha.
After this was the early lunch, sooo early. Q didn't ate with us again ): He always didn't eat. Before we left the resort, we gave Q the paper we drew for him. Hugged bryan. Took group photo with rhys. Bryan's hug soo warm + soo fatherly x: we all be his god-daughter hao le (: Then we set off for the chiangmai airport. hais!! When we stopped at a place that sells snack, we found Q rushing to finish his noodles. Superrrr poor thing D: like 5 mins or so he has to finish. He still drink red bull lehh! Soo tired, must be.
We parted with him at the airport, he said "Okay guys! (put his hands together) I have to go now........ " ahhhh~ NOOooooo~ Then we one by one go hug him. He like kor kor hug baby sister, orh orh orh~ hahahaha. will miss you de~!!!

i started to be curious of the topic
bcuz of some random thing i said to lisa and valerie.
the diamond manufacturing :p

i just randomly said to them, diamond and graphite is made from CO and CO2 respectively de wors. so, diamond is expensive bcuz carbon monoxide is very dangerous so the workers have to be extra careful. whereas for carbon dioxide it is not that dangerous therefore graphite is cheap l:

to sum up, both diamond and graphite could be form by extracting carbon from gases.
but of cuz not from a specific gas -.-
& methane could be used.

actually it is quite environment friendly.
it gets rid of the greenhse gases that contains carbon
so not bad.
maybe if big amounts of graphite and diamond
are manufactured at one time
